Hollywood
Boulevard
at work with Brindabella to starboard. Hollywood Boulevard
became one of the early retirements as a result of some amazing
storm conditions during the first night. After a bumpy ride down
the coast, their main halyard failed around 1 AM.

Last
year's line honours winner Nicorette and SAP Ausmaid
outside the heads and well on their way to Hobart. Nicorette's
story for this year's race is truly amazing. After a bad start,
the boat got ahead of the fleet off Wollongong only to be hit by
a waterspout a little further down the coast off Seven Mile Beach.
Lucky to survive, the crew fought back to take 2nd place behind
Assa Abloy over the line.
