the overall IMS trophy for that race.

the early retirements in this year's race.

brand new Krakatoa was specifically built to compete in the Sydney
to Hobart. However her race ended at Ulladulla with one of the crew
needing to get ashore from acute seasickness.

smallest boat at 8.9 metres in this year's Hobart fleet, Red Rock
Communications. Formally Atria, this boat has taken out two divisional
wins in past Sydney to Hobarts'.

13 Hobart's to her credit, the Royal Australian Navy Sailing Association's
entry to the Sydney to Hobart, Lady Penrhyn, will be facing some
international competition for this year's Oggin Cup from the first
ever defense force entry from New Zealand, Paea II.
