Team News Corp. On arrival to Hobart, Team News Corp donated the $10,000 from the Citroen Dash for Cash, after being first Volvo 60 out the heads, to the NSW Bushfire Appeal.

Other Volvo 60's SEB (Sweden), the all women crewed Amer Sports Too (Italy) and Amer Sports One (Italy), working their way up to the V60 seaward mark.

Volvo 60's Djuice from Norway ahead of SEB and Assa Abloy, all working up to the seaward mark.

Tyco close behind, rounds the seaward mark Hobart. Despite being among the leaders to arrive at Hobart, Tyco was disqualified for failing to comply with rule 43, requiring all competitors to contact Race Control before entering Bass Strait. At the time of writing, this only had affected the boat's position in the Sydney to Hobart and not the Volvo leg of the Round The World Yacht Race. However, the skipper of Team News Corp had noted an intention to submit a protest for the Volvo leg.

Grundig, Hollywood Boulevard and SAP Ausmaid working up their seaward mark. With the Hobart fleet starting 200 metres behind the Volvo 60's in a 2 line start, compensation was achieved with separate seaward marks for each fleet.
