Lodka Bols, Hollywood Boulevard and Brindabella.

Hollywood Boulevard at work with Brindabella to starboard. Hollywood Boulevard became one of the early retirements as a result of some amazing storm conditions during the first night. After a bumpy ride down the coast, their main halyard failed around 1 AM.

A departing fleet consumed by the smoke haze from the massive NSW bushfires, encircling the Sydney metropolitan area.

Last year's line honours winner Nicorette and SAP Ausmaid outside the heads and well on their way to Hobart. Nicorette's story for this year's race is truly amazing. After a bad start, the boat got ahead of the fleet off Wollongong only to be hit by a waterspout a little further down the coast off Seven Mile Beach. Lucky to survive, the crew fought back to take 2nd place behind Assa Abloy over the line.
