The 36 class were mainly used on express passenger runs
until diesels took over. From there up until their withdrawal,
the class took on freight. 3642 was found hauling many
special heritage services during the 1980s and photos
from these events may be published in the future on this
site.

Built in 1877, loco 1210 is the oldest main line locomotive in
NSW at Platform 1, Sydney Central Station. The engine was
restored by the Australian Railway Historical Society's
ACT Division in 1988 and currently used for occasional vintage
train runs to Royalla and Bungendore and other events.
