Wild Oats X still leading, Black Jack and Pricewaterhouse Coopers tacking for third.

Robert Oatley’s Wild Oats X, skippered by Mark Richards is still currently leading the fleet of the Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race. She has picked up some boat speed and is sailing at 10.8 knots.

Stephen Ainsworth’s Lok is still currently second, and also picking up boat speed. Loki is currently doing 10.3 knots and is 7.2 nautical miles behind Wild Oats X.

Peter Harburg’s Black Jack and Andrew Short’s Pricewaterhouse Coopers are only separated by one nautical mile and both sailing at 11.3 knots.

The predicted NW winds will pick up overnight to 25 to 33 knots offshore. Currently the first boats are expected to arrive into Southport at approximately 14:00 AEST, Monday 27, July.
St Hilliers Quest has retired from the race due to time restrictions and Lahana is headed for Newcastle following her retirement earlier today, with an ETA of 19:00 AEST.
