Race Update

Stephen Ainsworth’s
Loki is currently leading Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht
Race and is about to round the mark off Crowdy Head. Loki being
closely followed by Andrew Short Marine Shockwave 5 only two
nautical miles behind. Cameron Miles’ predication of
finishing at 03:00 Saturday morning may not eventuate - but
Loki won’t be far from that time.
Stephen Ainsworth's Reichel Pugh 62 Loki,
seen here in Sydney Harbour during the 2008 SOLAS Big
Boat Challenge, is currently leading the fleet in the
Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race.
Syd Fischer’s Ragamuffin is currently holding third position, twelve nautical miles behind Loki.
It’s too early to tell yet who will take the IRC Overall win but based on current standings Paul Clitheroe’s Balance is placed first with Rob Hanna’s Shogun second and Graeme Wood’s Wot Yot (skippered by Bill Sykes) is third.
