Nishess Shakya a.k.a. Nix, was born in the late 70’s in Pokhara, Nepal. Pokhara is in the heart of Nepal and surrounded by the Himalayan range, most popular for its immensely beautiful scenery. Nix was born and raised in a creative environment with his father being a locally renowned Photographer and Artist. Being brought up in such an environment Nix was able to learn all the basic design principles from his father. But as he grew up, Nix was more inclined to shift towards computer graphics rather than to continue with traditional artworks.

It was his passion for computer artworks that led him to Sydney in the late 1990’s to further pursue formal academic study in computer graphic design. After completing a degree in Multimedia from a Central Queensland University campus based in Sydney, Nix has been working as a freelance graphic designer. Nix has also completed a diploma in information technology through the University of Wollongong, Sydney campus.

Nix has also been actively participating in various online competitions and submitted his artworks, TIG mainly where he won the contest in December 2005.

Besides graphic designs, Nix is actively involved in various cultural and musical activities within the Nepalese community within Australia.Contac
